Evo X Tephra V3 alt maps help
Evo X Tephra V3 alt maps help
How do you turn on the alt maps on ecuflash?
I changed Map switching master to 1=Alt map and still does not activate with the cruise control button, with the car off or on same thing
any clues?

Its been a while. You ever figure it out?
If not, check to see what your max amount of alt maps is set to. You can change it from 0-9 i think.
Also, see what the time to activate alt maps is set on. It lets you select a time value that it waits to go into map switching, starting the instant you hold the cruise master button down. If its set to 2300ms, it'll take 2.3 seconds to activate after you start holding the button down.
As long as you have the rom successfully installed on the ecu, those are the only things i can think of that would prevent it from entering into the alt switching mode. You set the type of trigger (cruise cntrl in your case), set the amount of alt maps 0-9, and finally the crossover to alt map time value.
Let me know if you figured it out, and what it ended up being. At this point, ive gotten pretty good at using ECUflash by good old trial and error, but im always looking to learn more. Once i understood how it worked and what changes I made in the software were relating to what i was seeing from the engine itself, the whole process started to make sense.
Now im trying to learn about Canbus sniffing and address definitions. IMO, its way harder than learning ECUflash. Especially w/o anyone to learn from!!
