Evo 9 EDM 88840013

Hi!
I will try to tune this almost stock Evo 9, but it seems like I cant find either boost limit or boost duty cycle table (greyed out). What to do? Can I use another rom and copy the immobilizer to it?
Thanks

You have to change your user Level

Just flash 88591715 instead.
I have an EDM car and 8859 is much more defined than 8884

Thanks for the answer. Do I just copy the immobilizer code and just flash the new rom with it?

Yes. You can also disable the immobilizer.
You might get a check engine because of the fuel pressure sensor but that never bothered me. It comes and it goes.

But the rom is well defined and easy to tune on compared to 8884

Hi, it seems like the 88591715 are speed density. Believe the 88590715 are maf. Tried to flash it, but did got this message: "[20:18:51.888] no response to any known code

[20:18:51.888] interface close

Is it because it is a .bin file, not .hex file?
What is the difference of bin and hex ending? Can I just rename the bin to hex?

Thanks

My apologies. I have been running SD for 12 years now, I forgot MAF even exists
No it isn't because it's a bin file. I can flash both .bin and .hex

You can flash your other rom without issue?
You can log properly?

Stupid question but do you have the write cable plugged in?

Ah i see I didnt try flash another this time, but was able to do it earlier.
I didnt try to log, but I could read DTC via Evoscan.
I forgot connecting battery charger when I tried to flash, and it coud be the culprit. Will try later.
Thanks

If the battery is low, then it will definitely not write
I have also made the mistake a few times of not plugging the write cable, specially when you get used to tuning with the EvoX.

It flashed with battery charger connected and it started with the new file. Must finish an Audi with flexfuel I have on the dyno and then will try to tune this one. Thanks

Got the car running with the 8859, but have issues with idle. Car stalls after deceleration... Found that other also have some issues with idle and it might be because that this is an EDM car. Have tried for several hours to get the car not stalling, but with no luck. Is there another rom that might work with this ecu, or does anyone have a definition file for the stock 88840013 rom that have load fuel cut defined so boost can be raised before it cuts fuel?
Thanks

Can you send me both your 8884 and 8859?
I am not sure why you are having issues on decel or idle. I have been running 8859 for 10 years now on my edm never had issues.
There aren't major differences between both cars except the fuel temp sensor and MAP sensor. Your stalling and idle issues might be tune related.
