Need some help guys.
I have a fq300 VIII and I'm trying to convert to Speed Density. As some of you know, the UK and jdm spec do not come with factory map sensors and also they have the 3 plug ecu harness (usdm has the 4 plug) so we repinned the MAF sensor wire to pin 92 for the map sensor but with no success of it picking up the signal. Any help would be appreciated!

 

I have done it on my EDM Evo 9 about 10 years ago. You are really testing my memory.

Found the info:

Signal pin #1 of the sensor to pin #85 of the ECU (only this one is free and you should add the ECU pin there),
ground - pin #2 of the sensor to pin #92 of the ECU (connect to the existing wire that go there)
5V - pin #3 of the sensor to pin #81 of the ECU (connect to the existing wire that go there)

You need to double check my information. I did it on my evo 9 and I am assuming these are the correct pins on the Evo 8 as I looked at the ECU pinout.
