So I have posted in here a little while ago but didnt seem to get much notice or attention. Still been trying to get it situated and Im almost there.
I finally found someone to get it on the dyno and have them straighten out the tune just for start up and drive-ability for now. He did great and car has been on the road for the first 500 miles in about 8 years. lol.
Issues Im having right now though that i need your guy's help with is with the 94170015 rom he uses the car runs but doesn't read IAT for some reason. He has to peg the Scaling table at 30c in order for the car to run somewhat. AFRs are spot on as well driving and cruising this way.
If i use the 96531706 rom i made up the car starts and idles pretty good. AFR are off but i get a MAF intake air temp scaled reading and air temperature. Both seemed to be accurate with current air temps. only one that i still dont get a reading with is the MAT scaled. Car also will not drive flashed with this rom.
Car will just not go above what ever rpm you decide to push pedal at and just falls on its face.

edited: Forgot to mention I am using the omni 4 bar map and obviously MAF IAT as my intake temp. Open to using the fuel temp sensor as input as well.

Simply change the SD option IAT to MAT ... In your tuner's rom it's on 03... Change it to 0E and it should work.
If I understood correctly, in rev1.bin the IAT is reading correctly, in your tuner's rom it's reading off the fuel temp sensor. But you do have an IAT sensor wired in so you'd rather have it correctly reading the sensor's input, not fuel temp sensor.
Yeah I may have read that header in the iat temp options but regardless ive tried it both ways. Car remains the same using that 9631 rom.
If i use his and correct the mat temp scaling table the car still idles over 2k once it goes into closed loop. Been trying things to see where i can get a change. Still no luck though. I changed the map sensor scaling over to what he used. All fuel and timing tables are what he put in that day.
These three roms are what i currently just tried. rev3 is 9417 the only rom car is drive able on. Issue is that the IAT sensor is not reading for some reason so MAT temp is pegged at 90.
The other two are 9631 and i get no cel and the IAT sensor gets a reading and no cel. Issue is that car is un drive able. Idle is down some what normal except the occasional stumble.
Just to note the rev1 and rev3 roms are the tuners and he is using IAT as input. I dont even see the option in that particular rom for some reason
well didnt get to check log for IAT sensor reading but just flashing to to the car it did start and idle decently. But still have the same problem that its like almost in valet mode and just dies if you give it throttle.
I did re do this 3d speed density rom last night and tried it out after yours and car ran almost as good as his tune but still had the CEL on. MAT temp table is normal and not pegged on this one.
Running the tuners tune is still the smoothest though even with the MAT temp table pegged at 90.

I should also mention that the GM IAT sensor is brand new again and I tested continuity back to ECU and its good.
Also this TephraMOD rom is using fuel temp as intake temp and i am still getting a cel.
Well another little update to anyone following. I went and switched out the ecu in the car with another ecu just to see if problem persist and it does.
Just tried switching the IAT pin and fuel temp pin at the ecu just to see if i seen a temp reading in evoscan and i got nothing. Tried both roms one that reads MAF IAT and the other that reads Fuel temp and both had the same reading.
So on fic2150rev1.bin the car runs and drives fine, except IAT is pegged to 30 degrees.
You want to read actual IAT but you are not running an IAT sensor is that correct?
You want the temperature scaled on the fuel temp sensor instead of having it pegged to 30 degrees?

The car only runs and is drive able on the tuners rom. Only way he got it decent was pegging the MAT temp to 90 degrees because of no IAT reading. He is using a older version of Tephras Mods and speed density not sure what version on a 9417 series rom. CEL on

If i switch over to a current 2d speed density rom and using the universal 9653 series rom car starts and idles but it is not drive able. What I do get a intake temp reading using this rom though.
Im not particular on using IAT temp sensor or fuel temp sensor as the input. I just have not seen any difference in the car using the fuel temp as input. No CEL on
What is the code of the CEL you are getting on the tuner's rom?
Also, both roms are different and I can understand why it doesn't drive properly on the fic2150rev1.bin
On Runningtune, try changing SD Convert IAT to MAT to 03
That should read IAT temps
Figure out what is the CEL code that pops and it can be disabled in the runningtune
So switching that SD convert IAT to MAT from 0E to 03 didnt do much. I did see a ten degree swing in the temp in evoscan but still reading wrong.
So MAF temp scaled always reads 77 degrees
Air temp reads -85
MAT scaled reads -40
I almost want to try switching the wires at the sensor to see what happens but it doesnt make sense that in the 9653 rom i get temps that are accurate with air temps.
The codes i see using the tuners rom are
