Car wont start after adjusting map / flash :(

Hey guys,

Was adding pop map to my friends rom. Its a JDM Evo 8 mr with a flex tuned rom / Currently on flex evo 8 rom. I have previously altered roms for pops for myself and 7 other mates which were stock rom or tephra.

1. I read his original rom via ecu flash and saved it.
2. I adjusted the fuel/timing on decel section and saved it as a new file.
3. Compared both roms via ecu flash which showed in highlighted blue fuel/timing was different.
4. flashed the rom, waited for it to say ok. turned off ingnition disconnected cable.
5. Tried to start car but wont start. Its cranking but I believe no fuel. I also cant hear fuel pump priming.
6. Reloaded his original rom back on, tried starting without any sucess.
7. Ran evoscan and primed the fuel pump which is definately working.
8. Immob is disabled / set to 0

I am stumped as to what is happenening. maybe I dont have the xml the custom modified rom, valet mode??
Immob code seem the same?

Any help welcome.

Attached is Ecu flash log and the original rom i pulled alot with modified rom.

Car is on a flex fuel /fuel sensor rom. Rom ID is 9626F809 (scrambled? since I cant find that rom). Have tried loading that rom as is pop map and normal without car starting.

Also change rom ID via xvi32 to 96260009 and compared the rom it. Successfully flashed rom with new ID rom, ecu unlocker running in background and car still wont start

Immobilizer is left untouched as original tune and is set to 0 in the immobilizer bit section.

ok so update.

a performance shop took the rom, said possibly check sum was out? sent the rom back and told us to try it. which we did and it started instantly and now wont start again?

The shop mention something about the checksum/pulling out ecu n fixing something ? has this happened to anyone before?

If the rom was locked by previous tuner, I wouldnt be able to read the rom? when I originally read the ecu rom, i did not have ecu unlocker on. The rom read fine and uponing rom seem fine?
