modifying a locked ROM?
If I were to download a locked ROM and make some mods to a few of the maps, is it possible to upload the modified ROM to the ECU? Will the modified ROM be locked?

It will still be locked even after you upload the rom again, however you can remove the lock by changing the INIT or INITIALIZATION code to 0001
