Let's post some timing maps guys. Here is my current one to revive the thread
There is A LOT of work in this map, as I got the car in July 2010. I spent about 2000hours on these forums ... I decided to transfer my tuning knowledge from my celica and learn more about evos.
My car seem satisfied with this current one :

-Street tune, 91 octane, IX turbo, bolt-ons, stock cams.
-AFR: 12.5@Spoolup and steady 11.5, then leaning it a little bit up to redline.
-23psi taper to 21psi, ~265 load taper to ~245.
-7500 redline.

Still some minor things to adjust, but I'm waiting for summer up here in Canada

Actually 97-98% is 380BHP for sure.

This is correct. I made 362 WHP at 95-99% idc on stock inj.

Nice map. Any numbers with that set up?

Anyone have maps for larger turbos?

No I haven't any updated Vdyno numbers. Around 320 maybe. Stock cams are holding the car like a parachute

Thanks for the advice mate, but since a long time I'm leaning toward GSC S1. According to the specs thread, they are a bit more agressive than kelford 264 ... Turbo won't stay stock, I bought a IX turbo to get a core for a stock frame upgrade.

Nice, for sure cams will open the top up. Excellent choice on the gsc s1. Personally though I'd go with s2's, especially if you plan on upgrading the turbo.

That's fine very good job.

Btw i think that on 91 octane we can run with stock ignition sistem about 10/11/12 degree up top.

On 93 i'm looking for a solid 14* . Hoping is possible.

My timing map which i'm working on, is about the same , minor differences but that's all.

Mods are nearly identical.
I wanna try to peak @25psi and tape to 20/21psi, spoolin up with target of 12.5 afr and then tape to 11.5 to 6500 and 11.3 to 7500.
Afr tune is 99% done. Timing needs a lot more skills

If the turbo won stay stock, I would also run s1 or tx272. S2 or tx288 for turbos like Red and larger..

well i've been self tuning my car for a while and this is the map i have now. its still a work in progress, i was actually working on a smoother transition for the lower load cells which i havent tried yet due to a short notice deployment. but i should be returning soon and i can continue to log and tune.

i also attached a log file from this rom. my car has always been knock prone but it has become a lot better.

i'm thinking timing is low but i can be wrong i always wonder when i see guys with higher timing in the higher rpm ranges.

i am adding some saikou-michi can catchs with the bigger 5/8" vent hole on the valve cover once i return so hopefully that will help some how.

from 5000 rpm and up is when i was seeing some knock recently so i plan on attacking this and the mivec map.

let me know what you guys think. Boost is 27peak tapering to 23. 93oct

this is my most recent dyno sheet, you can see where it starting knocking at about 5K and up.

It seems to me that you are running a little bit too much boost. Thats why you are knocking and cant run higher timing. 25psi tapering to 21 should be enough to get the same or a bit higher dyno numbers, on higher timing without knock. BBK-Full can manage some solid boost numbers, which are useless on 93 octane. Pushing the limits of the turbo is good on meth or E85.

I have posted my map for BBK-full https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/10...-post1975.html

I have pushed that turbo up to 390whp with some 50\50meth on mustang dyno.
