Scrambled Map? Easy fix.
I went through the pain of figuring out how to do this, and now I'm going to share it with y'all. Hope this doesn't **** anyone off, but this forum is about sharing info so here goes.
If you have a map that was purchased from someone and it comes up looking all scrambled, the fix is relatively easy. Some tuners change the ROMID in the map so that this happens.
First off, answer yourself this question. What year is my car? Now search this forum for some potential ROMIDs that might have come on your car. Let's say you have an IX:
Just download the rom via ECU flash, save it somewhere, call it scrambledIXrom.hex or something.
Go download xvi32 (hex editor program): http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delph...vi32/xvi32.htm
Launch xvi32, open the rom file you saved from your car.
Address -> Go To Address and put in hex $F52.
Type in the hex value: 88 59 00 15 (no spaces, hex values belong in pairs like that).
Now save it as a NEW NAME, call it unscrambledIXrom.hex.
Now open that file in EcuFlash and voila, unscrambled maps!
It is literally just that easy. If that does not work, try some other romIDs that might have come for your car, search this forum for those.
EDIT: check this out, once you've read the above: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/3971353-post50.html

Is this what you mean in this thread, cause it is the most annoying thing to happen. Very disappointed in the tuner that has done it to my PC.
So the question is will it fix it below?
Thanks,
Mr Evolution
P.S. If this is an open forum then letting everyone know the tuners that practice this should be allowed.
