Mr Evolution, you need to do some more reading Download ECUFlash, you need to open your rom(hex) file in it, not notepad.

I used note pad to modify the .hex file to add the JDM3Bar map sensor. Not sure how to modify the .hex file any other way.

Your right that I still have alot of reading to do, but could you post a link to how to modify the .hex file to add the tephora 5 modifications.

Thx

Ahh, no, that is completely unrelated to this topic, sorry. Plus, I think you are confused on what you are doing, or perhaps confusing me by editing your .hex file with notepad, that makes no sense. There are instructions in the tephra v5 thread, they are very straight forward, and again, you need to open your .hex file with ecuflash, NOT notepad.

Your right its unrelated, my bad to jack the thread. When you wrote scrambled I thought it was related to my situation and wasn't sure, that is why I posted the pics. I was able to view it in notepad before, but after receiving a map from an email flash vendor it got all scrambled.

You edited the XML definition in Notepad ... not the HEX file.

It's much simpler to use the fix Tephra suggested ...

The ROM file is binary code, you can't "read" it...

You want to edit the XML in notepad

Thanks for your help, after I got home and realize the mistake. Glad that there are still people who can tolerate a little mistake. Really appreciate the support.

Bump, looks like there's an even easier way to edit the rom id and unscramble your rom:
