What in the hell is this...

"Sorry, you can only access this page if you have Purchased and Registered for EvoScan Software within the past 12 months. If outside of 12months you can subscribe for another 12months to the latest EvoScan upgrades for the discounted price of $15. Click Here for upgrade purchases."

Does this mean those of us who SUPPORTED YOU by paying for EvoScan more than a year ago will have to pay for an update to 2.7 ?, even though the original registration information stated..

EvoScan Registration:
- with registration you will get future releases.
- you will get emailed latest updates released.

I hope that information is in error or that I just miunderstood. Otherwise I'm sure a lot of us will be contacting PayPal

I am sure you will receive updates, if you took the time to read the website, it isnt actually officially launched until April 30th. I would imagine Hamish is flat stick getting everything sorted now.

Yeah every one will get free updates that were promised including v2.7. I haven't decided what it will be from 31st April yet, site is not live. It was the same $15 last time too. those who wanted the Map Tracer version had to pay the upgrade fee. You can threaten me with contacting paypal.. you won't be getting any updates.

I remember the discussions from before when some users were told they had to pay an additional fee for the Map Tracer, even though they had also been promised future updates for free at the time they had donated.

This is why I got concerned when I saw that information on your new site. I thought you were going to pull that same trick again.

I apologize if I "jumped the gun" but when somebody is promised one thing only to find out later they may have been deceived, it's not unreasonable to expect them to be a little upset.

Personally I think Hamish should be charging more for EvoScan OR charging for updates.

EvoScan has turned into much more than it was at 0.97 - and I know how much work has gone into it.

$25 was and still is nothing, less than half a tank of fuel.

Your petrol must be darn expensive. EvoScan is 3/4 of a tank of gas over here.

Indeed EvoScan is a great value.

There are far worse places then us for fuel.

$25 for Evoscan is nothing, Hamish should charge more and do discounts for updates.

Another company I deal with for another sport I'm in is a guy like Hamish. He charges a reasonable fee upfront. Further upgrades depend on whats been done. For instance If you paid for version 2.0, you'd get 2.1 , 2.2 etc for free, but would have to pay for version 3.0 which was a more major upgrade. Version 3.0 would be far cheaper for those that had previous versions, compared to a new subscriber.
