no 899880002 is the correct romid for a GT
my car is a JDM 2006 Evo IX GSR, mellon told me i should be using a more popular rom --> 88580014.
will this cause any problems?? wouldn't i miss stuff because it is not a JDM Map?

88580014 doesn't have dual BCS or MAP.
you will be able to log MAP with 88580014 thou..

the MAP maybe an issue. FYI i am a novice.

i actually prefer 88580014 (as its my rom)
does your GT have a rear 02 sensor?
i think it doesn't - in which case 88580014 will CEL

yeah - if you see a sensor coming out of the top of the flange of the main cat then its got a rear02
if it does what do i do?
so 88580014 will work with my car even though it is JDM?
its a stock map right? i will just need to reconfigure for the initial 3 port BS and then adjust from there, etc.

personally I don't like changing ROMID families, but sometimes it is necessary.
just keep a backup of your stock ROM and then try flashing the new one in.
you will know soon enough if it doesn't start/throws CELs
you *may* have to disable the immobiliser (at least initially, try the immobiliser fix we found)
