no 899880002 is the correct romid for a GT
i read that off my GSR??? now i am confused again

my car is a JDM 2006 Evo IX GSR, mellon told me i should be using a more popular rom --> 88580014.

will this cause any problems?? wouldn't i miss stuff because it is not a JDM Map?

88580014 doesn't have dual BCS or MAP.

you will be able to log MAP with 88580014 thou..

i am in the process of running a 3 port boost solenoid so no dual BCS again..

the MAP maybe an issue. FYI i am a novice.

i actually prefer 88580014 (as its my rom)

does your GT have a rear 02 sensor?

i think it doesn't - in which case 88580014 will CEL

just find out if you have a rear 02 sensor.

if you DO - then swap to 88580014 is ok

if NOT then you need to stay on your ROMID (until we can come up with a FULL rear 02 disable)

highly doubt it.....never saw anything like that...

if it does what do i do?

so 88580014 will work with my car even though it is JDM?

its a stock map right? i will just need to reconfigure for the initial 3 port BS and then adjust from there, etc.

personally I don't like changing ROMID families, but sometimes it is necessary.

just keep a backup of your stock ROM and then try flashing the new one in.

you will know soon enough if it doesn't start/throws CELs

you *may* have to disable the immobiliser (at least initially, try the immobiliser fix we found)

am i getting this right?

i am gonna delete the old xml, change the name on the new one to 88580014.xml and put it in the folder then i should be fine?
