good on you

NOTE - that V6 will include a BRAND new way of doing the XML's which will hopefully remove a lot of the newbie problems
Thanks again.... now onto tuning with the 3port boost solenoid...

my car is done stock other than K&N drop in and 3" Exhaust.

what boost do you recommend?

dont forget my last comment (i edited after you replied)

start with 20psi, then gradually increase to 23/24 once you have tuning experience.

you have a wideband yeah?

If you intend to run 88580014 you will need to do the resistor mod to get rid of the CEL.

I will let other people with more time free to explain the other stuff

Hello,

I have an Outlander Turbo here with the same engine 4G63 like in the evo 8. I would change the ecu to evo 8 ! I will use the evo throttle body and injectors all of the other sensors are the same and will make a harness between the Evo ecu the Outlander engine harness.

My question will i have in trouble with the imobilizer @ start up ? I think yes.. how coud I solve the problem ? Can I edit the Evo 8 ecu to uncheck the imobilizier code or need to modified in the outlander ?

The usa evo 8 has a version without the 1 bar mapsensor on the manifold ?

Thank you ! Gergo

Yes it will have problems starting.

Yes you can disable the immobilizer on the ECU

No you don't have to mod the outlander to make it start but you will have to patch in the ecu to the harness.

Only a European model ECU would have no MDP sensor installed (1 bar MAP)

Hello,

Thank you for the fast reply ! After i isntall the evo ecu how coud I disable the immobilizer with the tactrix cable ? :$

Coud you tell me more about or give me a link "to patch in the ecu to the harness ? "

I have an Evo 8 usdm ecu but in the outlander there is no map ! If i change the rom for the EU no MDP will work ?
If evertyhing is running well i will buy 3bar JDM map because i would use the telpra rom.

Thank you ! Gergo

Well there is no real guide to swapping an ecu on a non Evo car to an Evo's ecu. You will have to consult some of the odd threads around here for that information.

It will be extremely difficult i'm sure to get it properly working.

Patching the ECU is easy just need a way to connect it with a laptop. There are many MANY threads out there with that information just search them. Event this thread has the codes needed to disable the immobilizer in the 1st page or so.

What coud cause the problem to be it extremly difficult if it is the same engine with the same sensors ( crank, camshaft, maf, knock, complete ignition system, evo injectors.. ?

I will make a harness to connect the outlander engine harness to the right pins in the evo 8 ecu.

I think i will be the first one who will run with Evo ecu in an outlander

The harness will be the most difficult part of the build i'm sure.

The second will be figuring out how to get the data port connected so you can even flash the ecu. I'm not sure what pins the laptop connects to.
