Gallas: When you download tephra you get 2 files. "TephraMOD-88590715-v7.xml" is what you put in the "EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo" directory. Then you open the other file that comes with Tephra, "88590715-TephraMod.bin" and copy your maps into that rom (rename it so you keep the original Tephra rom, just in case). Then you flash that .bin onto your car.
Mullen: You don't convert your old rom (probably a .hex) into a .bin for Tephra. Like I said above for Gallas, you need to take the .bin that comes in the zip when you download Tephra and copy your maps into that, then flash that .bin onto your car. The xml that also comes in the zip goes into the directory that you said, that allows Ecuflash to recognize the new tables in Tephra.
That should get both of you on the right track, but if you're not sure, let me know and I'll explain in more detail.

Primarily those 2, however any map that is different in your rom from the stock tephra rom should be transferred over. Immobilizer, for example. MIVEC if applicable, if you're running ECU-controlled boost then you'll need to set it up in tephra, but that's a whole other ballgame.

Hello,
Sorry....this may sound trivial....when can i download the latest version/files for tephra?
is there any summary list of what exactly i need to do to get it working on my ROM ?
Thanks

Some of the links have said they're being repaired since May. That might be why he can't download them. Anyone know why they were yanked down? I tried to find a reason but this thread is a nightmare to search through.

USDM 94170015 It's said Currently being fixed, will post ASAP for some time. I was just curious what happened since there's at least 2 cars I tuned running around with that ROM.

Below i listed the code and freeze frame that i got off my OBD 2 scanner. When i get this code i hit what feels like a really fast fuel cut and im only boosting 10lbs of boost. ive looked for boost leaks and couldnt find any, i got a new wastegate and blow of valve and that didnt change anything either.. does anyone kno what is going on with my car be reviewing these specs? any info would be great thanks. rudy

Tephra,
Is the MIVEC control on the 88950015 ROM closed loop control? I assume we set the target map and then the ECU tries to hit the target based on a PID loop. If this is the case, are the proportional, integral, and derivative gains available to change? FURTHER MORE or these gain scheduled versus gear ratio?
Reason that I ask is... when you start making 500-600whp the car pulls soo much faster through the lower gears, I'm not confident that the MIVEC is controlled that well by the ECU. The gains for the PI/PID controller might suit 4th or 5th gear, but certainly not 1st and 2nd.
Lmk your thoughts. Thanks
