I have a tactrix cable and the latest version of ECU flash....What do I do next to make adjustments to my vallet mode or two step? Fuel maps? etc,. Do I use ECU flash to File, open, an xml file? so I can begin opening up the option to make changes then send it to my ECU?

any help is much appreciated..

I am also very new to the tuning world with my EVO 9 MR. I have found this link from the tutorials on Evoscan.

http://www.evoscan.com/technical-veh...le-efi-systems

This would be a great place to start.

Running V7 on an Evo IX with 88590715 and I am about to tie in my AEM UEGO into pin 73 of my ecu.

Can someone confirm which tables in V7 need to be modified?

I'm following this link:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...o-evoscan.html

but it doesn't seem 100% relative to V7.

Thanks for any help.

Tephra

Thanks again! I was able to get the ROM and .xml files loaded in the directory. I made some adjustments and now I just want to plug in, flash, and go see if Im successful. I wont be touching my fuel maps until I learn more but I look forward to testing out my new valet mode adjustments, speed limiter, two step, rpm limit, etc,.
Know of any posts about safe rpm limits for evo's with 130+ on motor? I had it previously set to 7900+ but I brought it back down to 7k

Cheers

My VIII has 109k and I don't go above 7600, no point over pushing the old girl until you rebuild some worn parts

Stock limiter is 7600, if you're on a stock motor I'd leave it there unless you need extra rpm for staying in 4th at the drag strip or something.

Thnx everyone! I will leave it at stock rpm. Even when i did the quarter mile in El Paso TX I was not getting rpms in 4th used up. Anyone have links to custom fuel maps at high altitude "4600-5200" with near stock Evo8's? I have a full exhaust, upper IC piping, MBC, Forge BOV. Boost is at 18psi and holding til redline.

Cheers again

Most people don't share fuel mAps. For one because of great variances in mods and another because there is a lot of information that is needed to be checked to validate a fuel map. Maf scaling and injector latency and adjustment play big role, large enough that someone who isn't familiar with tuning fuel map could run just lean enough to do damage. So you really should make a fuel map that is suited for your car.

If you need help making one and adjusting things there is a ton of help between searching and asking.

That said some have run settings from non usdm cars with success but I don't believe that is without some cleaning up no matter how you cut it.

Thank you sir, you are absolutely right. I will just end up biting the bullet and going to a local tuner or shooting an email to one of the guys online who I can email my tune and logs. Thnx again!

That rom id can use 8858 can it not? Native 8859 here and I've used a sd rom you gave me for 8857 I believe, also I have used 8884 and 8858, having the most experience with 8858.

8859 has map
8884/8858 no map
8857??
