Did you pull the stock rom first? Did you copy over the immobilizer number?

is the battery dead from trying to start it too many times? Try to jump the battery from a running car, wait 5 minutes and try to write the rom again.

Copy the text from ecuflash where it failed, in the log section on the right of the table list.

Battery isn't charged enough or the car isn't in the On position-not started

If he has the wrong security code loaded, will the ECU even recognize that the key is in the on position? I thought that this was the great danger of just uploading someone else's ROM without changing the security code...

car wont start but you can flash as far as i know. the "great danger" is writing a rom over the stock rom without pulling it first which means you just wrote over the immobilizer code.

its because the battery is to low.... like people have been saying. throw a charger on it, turn off any stereo stuff and try again. if that doesn't help check your fuses. i've popped a fuse from turning a car off in the middle of a flash on accident.
