PATCH: Clutchless starting without disconnecting the clutch position switch?

Since Tephra uses the clutch switch to trigger the NLTS, the switch must be accessible to the ECU. Does anyone have a patch/mod for the Tephra 5.1 (or v7) to allow the car to be started without pushing in the clutch, but while leaving the clutch switch connected?

Ideally for 96530006 or 96530706, and as a bit flag that could enable/disable it.

It might be a periphery bit, but searching hasn't found it for me, yet.

Thanks!

NLTS and clutch-less starting use separate switches so you can disconnect the one to do clutch-less starts and still use Tephra's NLTS mod.

So NLTS uses only the upper clutch switch, and starting uses only the lower clutch switch?

Ah, I didnt know there are two clutch switches. I guess let me rephrase, and say is it possible to mod the ROM so that the car can be started without the clutch depressed? I don't care if NLTS is functional or not, I don't use it. I'd just like to have the car startable without the clutch depressed, without having to physically unhook the wire.

Thanks for the replies so far.

It takes about 10 seconds to unplug the switch. Why are you against physically unplugging it?

Yup, takes less time than actually flashing the ECU. Seems like you're wasting a lot of time with this thread when you could very simply unplug a wire.

I have no issues with unplugging it. Mine has been unplugged for a year or so. A friend of mine was asking, and I knew about the NLTS using a clutch switch (I didn't know there are two) and I found a periphery bit setting that controls a CEL for the clutch, so I thought I'd see if it's possible or if anyone has done it.

I recently got IDA pro, and thought it might be a fun mod to learn disassembly with if it was possible, and nobody had done it yet. He and I both run the 96530006 ROM on Evo 8s, so it would be easy to test.

Just to elaborate, the only thing that the lower switch does is open the circuit to activate the starter relay (or another relay that defeats it).

The lower clutch switch is probably not even hooked to the ECU.
