Exclamation Non Starter after using TephraModV7

Hi everybody...

Look is should not touch non EU Cars

I have read a bit around for aprox 10 days, here in this forum before starting anything.

In the TephraModV7 threat i found i could use the 88580714 to replace my 88840013 ROM....read...done...

I copied my immobiliser AND 0xFFA bits to be sure i will start....hit test to write...all seems fine....

So i hit write to ecu...and just all went fine till turning the Key...engine cranks, but dont start...

So,i try to write back read ROM 88840013....hit write to ECU....

rkrv: preamble 1 error .... what is this related to? Cheksum algo?

Would i maybee be able write back ROM by Piasini on Bench?

Is it maybee due that ROM was already modified?

Thanks in advance for any hint...

Exclamation

OK....

I have found Stock Rom for my 88840013 ecu... edited immo and 0xFAA and Init Code

Get same rkrv: preamble 1 error as when using the read of the ECU

The TephraModV7 i m still able to write to the ecu...even with some changes didnt affect to start the engine

Do i maybee miss something on checksum calculation...i think is automatically executed? or do i need to recalc it?

Best regards. Sandro

For a start - just try to disable the immobilizer via periphery bits and see if it starts?

Hi Guys...

Hmmm...looks weird...

I can flash again and again the V7 mod,but any time i try to flash the read or an genuine 88840013 downloadet from here i get this nice message

By reading a abit around i picked up,this error may come up due to ECU ID...so i changed ECU ID tothe ID from V7but error persists...

Bad,that i didnt yet got my download link for evoscan...maybee there would be an error displayd...

Does anybody know how to modify the immo bits to test with inactive immo?
Immo to 0xFFFF would this work? an/or ecu pereferie 56D8 to 0x56D0

Engine cranks, but no smell of petrol or any minor starting point

Best regards. Sandro

Look through the periphary bits on the V7 rom and find the one that says disable immobilizer and set it to 0

With the def file i have,in these perepherie bit isnt defined the immo off bit...

So i have edited ecu perepherie 56D8 to 0x56D0
and have set immo 0xFFFF

Will try to write the file in the morning hours

Had also a try with Piasini on the bench...doesnt recognise the ecu

Will ECUFlash work on bech? But i think it wont affect the write,as even in car, hooking up flash wire, ecu will be in bootstrap...isnt it?

Need dig deeper, what s happening to that ****** error message...

Best regrads. Sandro

Talking Start again

Hi Guys...

Finally got an little sun rise on my newly created horizon...

EVO IX started again after editing immo block to 0xFFFF

So first run on V7 wasnt that great...but it runs...

For now need some boost adjustements... i mpretty sure it was allready modified the file, even if there were only minor changes displayd by the stock def file in ecuflash.

Before it was running some 40 PSI Boost....and dropped down to 29 PSI

Thx for the given hints....will keep ya up to date
