Fuelcut decel overrun TPS base

53040010:

Code:
<table name="Fuelcut Decel TPS overrun base" category="Misc" address="5c9c8" type="2D" scaling="uint8">
	<table name="RPM" address="60d6e" type="Y Axis" elements="16" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>
52680022:

Code:
<table name="Fuelcut Decel TPS overrun base" category="Misc" address="5c98c" type="2D" scaling="uint8">
	<table name="RPM" address="60d32" type="Y Axis" elements="16" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>
This is used when in fuelcut for overrun, higher number = more TPS, good for if you run a high compression motor that has lots of drag.. I guess this would be good for the racers as you should have much less engine braking when in decel.

I still gotta workout how the TPS is controlled when not in fuelcut..

good luck.

so, more testing of this, it seems to work as expected..

once your in fuel cut decel increasing this table sets your TPS higher..

I only increased it by 1.5x (which resulted in 16% tps instead of 13%) and my engine braking is muchly reduced, to the point that my speed increases in 3rd on a medium downhill slope..

From Tephra

1 lower number = less TPS = more vacuum = more engine braking affect.
2 higher number = more TPS = less vacuum = less engine breaking.

Is this what Golden has been modifying to help with decel that people have complained about?

My car sometimes has terrible decel or should I say lack there of which I've always thought is more of a safety issue. I am used to standalone engine systems which when setup correctly always have repeatable decel. One thing I've hoped for is a true fix for on stock ecu. Nothing worse then decel not really kicking in coming down a steep grade such as the bridge I cross every day for work and the car actually gaining a little speed.

So since you have found the decel side, I presume by your comment the next logical side would be the TPS position vs airflow or some variable for resting "idle motor duty"?

Reduces engine vacuum and engine breaking relative to compression. If you have LOTS of engine braking now it will hold the throttle open to whatever it is set at and help "soften that.

If you wanted higher engine braking during decels then this patch probably wouldn't be the best for you since it will maintain fuel on hence why engine braking is reduced (engine will make positive trq and overcome friction). Tephra can confirm!

Ah, I see, makes sense. Yea mine is a good chunk over my stock 2.0L but not really annoying. I'll just let Jon pick whether or not to use this on my new setup.

Anyone found this in 5958XXXX (2013)? Unfortunately it wasn't in the new TephraXMod V2 XML for MY2013.

Give this a go, everything matches to what tephra posted for the 53040010 ROM.
