nurburgring directions

I will be traveling from Munich back to Amsterdam this July, and was hoping someone could give me some insight on the best way to get to the Ring on the way? I think I may have to rent a car, because I believe it is about 150 miles from the nearest train station? Any ideas?

Contact my best friend Evofunk (Sergio), he travels up and down Europe with is Evo, he would be a great person to talk since he lives in Europe and spent 30 plus years of his life in Europe.

If I don't want a lot of people to pass me I rather rent at least the 2002 model of the 996. Have you driven them? they are not slow but not worth getting a 996 made before 02.

As far is the 997s, well, BBC top gear tv show compared theEvo 9 in a close track and the Evo 9 pulled a full second over the 997 on a one minute lap track.
They are not slow though. In both instances(Porsche 996 and 997) I was reffering to as the NA model though.

I've driven a few 996's, NA and TT. I have not driven a 997 yet. I say rent a 996 or 997 because the rental car companies in Germany have them available. I doubt you could rent an EVO, but it's possible.

Who's Sabine Schmidt? There is a M5 Taxiring(sp?) that is driven by a female race car driver. I hear she's very good. Is that her?

FYI, most rental car contracts prohibit you from taking the car on track (Nurburgring). People do it all the time, but it's at your own risk if you damage the vehicle.

The only link you need http://julesperry.com/nurburgring/ and http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/

Both those sites have everything. If you stay in contact with me I should be planning a trip up there with a couple buddies.

It was Jeremy Clarkson... not Tiff. Tiff kicks *** in the driving department... Jeremy has good comentary and a lot of sagging skin.
