I will be there in early Jan. Do you recommend living on-post or off-post? If off post, what is the average rent cost and is there on online site that shows available rentals?

theres a website that has a list of approved apartments for rent

i cannot for the life of me find my bookmark for it, but you can search your area and list what you need for accomodations. this is an actual garrison approved website but i have no idea where my link went

I perfer living off post but thats me. I live 20 min away in a city called Weiden and its really nice after work to see the base in my rear view. I only pay around 650 euro a month for my place which isnt too small and my OHA is around 1900 dollars. Its a shame you report in january cause I report for drill in january at jackson. By the way I met up with 03nevaevolution. Nice guy and nice Evo 8. Best part of was seeing the 2 car seats in the back seat. Nobody has to call child services on this guy cause we can be sure of one thing his kids are happy. No if I squeezed my daughter into the jungle gym I call a cage in my car thats a something else.

be prepared to remove any window tint you have from the front two windows. your exhaust will get miked to see if its too loud, but usually thats the only worries. they do check for leaks and worn out suspension components. some inspectors are dicks and will bring out a ruler to see if your car is too low. also make sure no warning lights are on.

What part of Germany? It really does depend on the inspector! I have a couple mods myself and no cat, plus test pipe and didn't get mic'd!! Just had to remove the tint!! Really is all up to inspector!! Good luck and welcome early!!

yeah this is true too. sometimes you luck out and the guy is just tired of messing around. sometimes a bottle of jack sitting on top of your paperwork in the passenger seat works too, as long as your the only one in line
