Evo X help required please???

Hi all,

My friend recently bought an Evo X, unmodified. Hes having a coulple of problems where it displays the engine management light and sits at between 1500 and 2000 RPM on tick over.

Can anyone suggest what the problem may be? I was thinking injectors but I dont know enough about these cars to know for sure.

Also can anyone recommend any Evo specialists in the UK, west mids area preferred??

Cheers

Better to take the car to someone with diagnostic computer. Maybe needs service, or new sparks or could be anything. Before you do anything take the car for diagnostic. Because you may change oil, filter, sparks, injector etc and at the end could me something else.....so you are going to spend money for nothing.

Cheers guys,

I eventually found a specialist in Stourbridge who put the diagnostics on it and found it had an over boost problem. Unfortunately I couldn't persuade him to have the work done that was suggested so I took a step back and left him to it.

Hes since sold the car so I guess you prob wont hear much more from me
