507whp pumpgas 93, out of fuel...

We had the pleasure of tuning a good customer of ours this week.

Justin is one of those great mechanically inclined enthusiasts whom already has experience working for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries giant turbines.

We really enjoy working with these kind of customers as it is a warm reminder of how we feel about each and every car that comes through here and why we enjoy doing what we do. Justin is enthusiastic about his ride and doesn't mind getting dirty.

Justin came in the shop looking for an aggressive cam for a 35R turbo kit compatible camshaft set and we had the perfect match for him. We recommended the Kelford TX272 for the Evo VIII for his application. PTE 880cc injectors supplied the fueling fed from a single walbro 255lph fuel pump which was 45,000+ miles old.

Earlier in the week Justin dropped off his head with us and we went to work to install his Supertech single springs and retainers.

An AMS/FP 35R HTA supplied the boost via their single inlet ramhorn exhaust manifold.

Boost was cooled via a TurboXS FMIC 3.5" core.

We ran the boost up to 24-25psi before running short on fuel at 7200rpms where power was still climbing. This was on pump 93 octane only, no methanol.

To be continued..................

Great numbers for pump.
Full spool at 4200rpms sounds amazing for a 35. Other than the cams and tubular header, any other mods that could explain this? I´m asuming it´s not a stroker.

Saw this car just last night and have seen it around the Waterford area before... I think he was running just a downpipe straight back exhaust... car had a very loud aggressive lobeing cams sound at idle and a nasty two step. Sounded mean and very nice!

Later saw him and a few cars in a convoy by Woodbury. Nice Evo

34psi tapers 31psi. There's a lot more in it. Conservative tune and much more boost left in the turbo.

Its a stock motor so we'll settle there for now.
