627whp with GT35R?

I was on YouTube to see some EVOs on the drag strip when I stumbled across this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8NwF3dI6ps&NR=1

One person says in the end of the movie that "I cannot belive you can make that much power on silly gas". Well, neither can I. How can you make 627whp with a 600 crank-hp turbo? Well, I've never trusted Dynojet dynos, but even the Dynojets should have a limit!?

Anything is possible these days....with the right combo, you can make way more power than you'd expect over a turbo's designed efficiency range. I mean hell, dudes are running 9.5's on FP RED's, stock frame turbos.....and 8's on 35r's. They must be in the 800+ hp range (at the crank). Technology. Evolution. That's what we're all about

What's the deal with the red and green EVOs? I don't have a clue on what that means, but see that it's frequently mentioned on the forum.

How much whp do you need to run a 10,25 on a stock street driven EVO 8? Engine and exhaust mods only, "budget" build. Street tires.

Well, in our Mustang dyno we've never even been close to 600whp on any engine.

But well, customers rarely get more hp than they think, but they are very happy when their car is faster than cars that have dynoed more horsepowers at other tuners.

i'm not new to high hp cars. my other car puts down 1490rwhp @ 22 psi.

my cars are not dyno queens. i race them. i do understand that the dyno is just a tool to tune.

if your dyno has never seen 600hp, why not put your lotus on it?

We've seen more than 600whp on our dyno, but that was with bigger turbos. For instance a 2.0 16v with gt4088r made 599whp at 26psi.

My Lotus is not ready yet, I'm assuming it should put out about 850whp in our Mustang that should be about 1000 at the crank. I have a GT45R with Tial 1.00 turbine housing.

I am confused I thought you just stated that your dyno has never seen over 600HP? Anyway I def think that a gt35r can make over 600hp with no issue
