Last Year's dyno

Lucas and I took the Evo out saturday to put some miles on the new 11:1 motor and when at 22psi I was scared S-less it reminded me there was one dynosheet that was never shared on the 10:1 motor. For a quick refresher these were the mods that matter (note some changes from the 506 pull) in 2008:

'04 SSL EVO full weight minus spare tire and Jack (3450 lbs with driver)
-IX Stock turbo
-GSC S2 with Kiggly beehive valve springs
-ETS 5in IC and 3in piping with ETS intake pipe
-RC 1200s's
-MAFT pro with 3.5bar AEM sensor
-TiAL BOV
-255Lph modded to ER Specs
-Custom cold air intake
-E98 fuel
-spike 31psi hold 24psi to redline.
-Flash tuning done by Lucas (I just was riding shotty)
-Stock WG actuator
-Ebay O2 housing
-BS removal
-10:1 alum rod motor
-Electric water pump
-light head port work
-ER ported intake manifold
-phenolic intake spacer
-Mil.Spec 65mm TB
-Buschur Racing 3in TBE
-Exedy SR triple
-EnglishRacing built tranny with a IX taller 1st
-Small serpentine belt to by pass the PS/AC

It backed this up with a 515/500 but the graph looks crappy because of RPM pickup so I didnt post it up. 2009 looks like its gonna be fun for the Stock Turbo Cup.

Enjoy

Aaron

Wow, that is just down right retarded power! Talk about a very efficient setup.

i would just shift at 6.5K rpms. its obvious the efficiency of the turbo its done with after that. either way. good numbers, must pull like crazy!

Thanks guys

Ryu, yours isnt looking to shabby either

We are hoping for a little more out of the new 11:1 motor with a few ER special touches this year. More on that in the weeks to come.

Shifting is at 7 since its still making 460whp on that tune.

Thanks. Compared to this setup though mine looks like poop At 7k your holding 50wtq more then just about every stock turbo dynograph I have ever seen.

Looking at the log and the rest of the dyno sheet, it looks like repeated pulls had heatsoaked or something and we got some knock. Not too shabby still though

If we build a tincan to put in it might be cooler, but it moves Juvy's car around well enough as is. A cage to make it legal (leaving the babyseats in it), maybe a little weight reduction to offset the cage weight (take the sub out) and some practice time, Luke is hoping for some 10.50s in a street car.

Just a question, does the car still make the same peak HP if you were to start the run at 2500 or so rather then wait until 4000rpm and go WOT?? Shouldn't that thing be fully spooled before 3500 with that C/R?? I think it's awesome you guys are running an engine like that, I would imagine other to follow shortly if they have not already..

Petey,

Too be perfectly honest we can make full boost at 2500. We have to start the pulls as high as we do to avoid surging which the ECU would pick up as knock and kill torque. If it didnt do that it wanted to do a burnout on the dyno.

The new motor at 22psi will light all 4 up on dry pavement, you have my personal guarantee. I am sure others will attempt a similar build if they havent already, so thats why we are always trying new things and not standing still. I live with a very simple philosophy (its a Zen puzzle I am told) that "the only constant is change". Innovate or get left behind really
