curiosity thread to get people talking

i am about to go on the dyno a tune my car for its last tune for a LONG time. there will only be 2 parts missing from this tune (cosworth 273 cams and an ams fmic). what do you think my dynojet dyno numbers will be with this setup-

jdm evo9 20g
injen ic pipes and intake
megan tubular exhaust manifold
turbo outlet pipe
bushur 3" downpipe back exhaust w/magnaflow muffler and a test pipe
30psi
aggressively tuned for meth on pump and c16

so i was just curious what you think i will make
1- on 93 octane
2-on c16
and then your guesses for both 93 and c16 with a tune after installation of the cams/fmic

my guesses are
1-400/420
2-425/460
3-450/480
4-490/520

due to the stock cams i made 380awhp and 400tq uncorrected. the turbo spins to 30psi insanely quick (before 3500rpm) which i think may be well assisted by the preturbo methanol. i don't know what i should expect with the cams, i really thought the 20g would make a large difference.

i think close to 360-380whp mostly remember arp headstuds would be great mod and safe if you go your route. Dont expect to much expect the lease.

Yes there is, but hardly anyone uses it. It's a pretty terrible turbo, the Evo Green is a much better implementation of the 20G.

not so terrible, since the turbo was mine and was able to make 400hp at 22 psi on a completly stock engine, intercooler, pipes, throttle , etc, with hks 272 and meth 50/50 was the only mod.only 1 pass in the drag strip was 11.3 with nitto drags, but this was at 26psi before transfer blow up in sec pass.

There's no reverse rotation 20g wheel from MHI. Anything you see using one is a knock-off. And the Green isn't an implemenation of a 20g, it has nothing to do with a 20g aside from possibly inducer size.

Yes, yes, not from MHI but Buschur, FP, and others worked to create a reverse design of MHI's 20G wheel. It's generally understood on late model Evo's that 20G refers to this style compressor.

Hence all the fake names...

20G-9-5 (White Rabbit)
20G-9-6 (this, so-called "JDM Evo 9 20G")
20G-9LT (Evo Green)

this turbo is a waste, you can buy a green and make better numbers then this.

Yes you said you made 400hp with this turbo on stock motor. Obviously your going to make 400hp your on meth to!

my buddy is on stock ix turbo stock block, stock cams with full bolt ons and meth put down 414awhp and went 11.4@120 with a bad 60ft.

so dont say the turbo is good just because you made 400hp lol haha
