Mellon Tuning 20G-5 351awhp/346awtq 93 octane

Owner: Eugene/Seth Hunter
Username: not on the forums
Location: Marion, Arkansas
2006 EVO9 6-speed
RC 1000cc injectors
93 octane
28 psi
tbe 02
BR FMIC
GSC S1
20G-5 (older style)
DLL 351awhp/346tq

this was interesting, great supporting mods but really didn't make as much power as I expected. I went through my database and found another car with the same mods and that turbo, it made the same power, almost identical. I'm beginning to wonder if that turbo is what's holding them up, because the rest is good stuff. Either way, the car runs 200% better than before, a friend of his tried to tune it for him...it sounded like it wanted to roll over and die when they showed up and the AFR was in the 13's at WOT on 93 octane so it was spitting and sputtering something awful. It purrs like a kitten at idle (per his request) so his competitors won't know it has cams I heard this morning from a friend of mine that the car was out this weekend racking up the kills on the locals

I believe the old nomenclature was 20G-5 instead of the new 20G-9 or Evogreen

this model was discontinued, you'd want the new HTA Green and that would put you as high as 375-400awhp on 93 octane with my tuning if I had to guess, then again you have a stock fmic, so maybe 350ish

upgrade the front mount for sure then invest in a hta green and you will be extremely happy heck if you can squeeze it out get a fp red for some real fun in the sun. Mellon in general has been making great power with his tuning on them.

those are similer to liqquid mods check his thread out on the hta green granted he blew his motor but he has a built 2.0 in there now. as for the red probaly 420-450 on pump and for e85 you will need double pumper to use it effeciently but would be in the 500 easy. why not consider port work it can only help. dont forget your clutch upgrade as well

head
intake manifold
exhuast manifiold
hotside
Throttle body
