Smile Tomei Arms Pump Gas Results!!!!

New Numbers https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...round-2-a.html

Hey guys I just wanted to share my results that I just got with the new Tomei Arms turbo. First of all here's my mod list.

Tomei Arms 7960
Stock Block
Unported Head
Head studs
Kelford 272's w/ springs etc
Ported intake/tb
Injen piping
ASAPPerformance 4.5" Intercooler
02 dump
Hallman manual boost controller
Coated GT-spec exhaust manifold
Pump gas
26psi spike

Stock ECU tuned by Cwill

My dyno sheet is down below and the car made 405whp and 369lbs/tq, I was really happy with those numbers but then Cwill told me that he thinks there might be something wrong with the car, so we did a leakdown test on the head and found out that FOUR exhaust valves were leaking. We're taking the head off and fixing it up and hitting the dyno again, I'm confident in this turbo and I'm sure it will make much greater power when its running again. Any questions on the car let me know I'll be happy to answer them here or pm.\

btw it was 99 degrees inside with the fans on and about 103 outside

Here are some pics!!

Any pics of your engine bay with everything installed? Nice numbers, i'm very curious to see what it will put down once fixed.

Numbers definitely decent for pump gas only, torque seems to peak a bit late compared to a bbk but similar to a fp red. Peak numbers are def low but with messed up valves, this is to be expected! Def get this thing fixed and back on the dyno quick; we all wanna see what this thing can really do! Any chance we could see a boost profile?

thanks guys, i posted some pics of the engine bay. You can see the letters popping out of the tomei in the second shot, I'll try to get it fixed as quickly as i can for you guys to see the true numbers, i still cant believe it made this much power with an issue like that.

It made more torque on another run, i think it depends how and when you accelerate on the dyno, 386 was the best of the day...don't have the dynosheet and i don't think i can get a boost profile sorry....didn't expect i would need it, i was just having fun and wanted to drive but now i'm really excited at what it would be able to pull off once its fixed.

Hey, finally you got it and tuned it, thanks for sharing.

But, this is not the result I anticipated. IX with kelford 272 cams, these are pretty aggressive cams, usually IX with cams makes about 380~ish on a dyno jet, am I correct? also you have o2 dump w/ 26lbs of boost, therefore you should be making at least 420+whp...
I think definitely something is wrong with your car.

Don't worry when the head is fixed I expect over 420whp on pump no prob maybe more. Still, breaking 400whp if you consider the effects that FOUR leaks in the exhaust valves caused, is still pretty good and shows the potential of this turbo.

I read the post, Jalal!!

did the person who install your spring set mass up the head?

With 26lbs, O2 dump, kelford 272 cams you should be well over 420whp.
I just hope this turbo is stronger than Fp green.
