First of all I would like to thank Shane at DB Performance for such an amazing tune. I was worried about running out of fuel with the 1000cc injectors but with the Full Blown dual walbros Shane was still pulling out fuel up top on the final tune. The final numbers were spiking 33 psi then tapering off to about 27. For some reason my turbo was sent to me with out a wastegate actuator so I modified my stock 8 one to work
Because of this we couldnt get past about 30-31 psi with the forge cranked all the way up so we Shane recomended we just plum in a second one. Well it worked, at 30 psi we were making 420 whp and with the additional 3 psi it shot up to the observed numbers. I feel there is still a little power to be gained with upping the boost on this setup but I decided to leave it at 455 for sake of being on a stock bottom end with 70k miles. I will be running the car up at BIR next weekends at the MAP compact proving grounds event to see what kind of times I can pull. I am not a drag racer and the car is more set up for track days with a Robi Spec clubsport suspension. Before the red I put down 308 on DB's dyno on the stock turbo/pump gas that I managed to run an 11.8 at 114 with. I can't wait to see what I can do with %50 more whp, any guesses?Mod list:
stock im
stock tb with high pressure seals
stock exhaust manifold
stock head and bottom end
L19 head studs
un ported non anti-surge FPred
buschur 3" exhaust
buschur intercooler piping
buschur BFIC 4.5" core
crushed as hell 1g bov
PTE 1000cc injectors
Full Blown dual walbros on Hobbs switch
forge and DB PeRformance MBC
GSC S1 cams
E85 spiking 33 psi tapering to 27

props I have a very similar setup on my 9. Get their HP actuator and modify it a bit... I'm seeing 32psi @ 6k now

500 on this dyno with this turbo would be freaking insane, borderline not possible. Add 16-18% for dynojet numbers. 455whp on dyno dynamics = 527-537whp on an awd dynojet! 2 other cars (IX's) with reds are making 420-430whp on this dyno both @31psi. These numbers are more than I would have ever expected to see out of a red on this dyno, just fantastic! 35R cars on E85 tend to make 450-480whp. Originally Posted by BenJ

So your saying a red on db's dyno making 500 would not be possible? Someone has made over 600 on Buschurs low reading mustang dyno on a red! Someone just made 630 on a dynojet with a red. Maybe that dyno doesn't read very well then? Would like to see some track times to know about those low numbers.Originally Posted by scheides

I'm not saying its impossible, just borderline. I'm 99.9% sure that no FP Red has ever made anywhere near 600whp on buschur's mustang, the most I've ever seen is the 9sec9/OKIX car in the 530whp range:Originally Posted by SpoolnupTuning

They did back it up running mid 9's with the thing.
Most-wanted made (prolly who you mentioned) 630whp with it (dynojet numbers):
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-build-65.html
You'll notice that on both of these max-performance builds 530*1.16 is= 615, so they are roughly in the same ballpark powerwise.
All I was saying is that we will most likely not see a evo build that will break 500whp on DB's dyno dynamics, most will peak out in this 450whp range and end up staying there due to being at or past the limits of safety on the stock bottom end, not having enough supporting parts, or what have you.

Since we were used as a reference, I'll correct the numbers our car made. Before running 9.5, we made 566 whp on Buschur's Mustang. Final boost and tuning was completed at the track with power probably in the 590-605 range on the Mustang Dyno. Our car weight and numbers indicate that we were making 600+ at the time of the run. I had to look up the dyno chart to confirm this. 566 whp/ 536wtq on 10/02/2008. Most of the power gains from there were made through boost and Mivec changes.Originally Posted by scheides

Wow! That is just shocking 9sec9! I had no idea you guys were getting *that* much out of this 'little' thing.
I would LOVE to see more 500whp evos on our local dyno dynamics, that would freaking rule, especially if they were not on 35R or bigger turbos.

My car is by no means even close to a maxximum effort build
so these numbers are more than satisfying for me. I plan on getting it dyno'd at the local dyno jet at MAP performance so for some comparison numbers to back up what scheides has stated. Also like I said before im not the greatest drag racer but I will keep everyone updated with my times next weekend at the MAP sport compact proving grounds event at BIR.

I heard you run a crushed 1g bov, I am going to crush my IX bov and see if I don't find the ability to spike some more boost to 33psi or so and end up around 450hp also. I made 432hp and 395 tq on my IX with a red at 31 psi tapering to 26psi at DB.
Jim
Haha thats what I meant, this weekend
Are you going to be running your car up there as well?

Congrats on some great numbers but Most Wanted made 630whp with the FP red and I also read that Most Wanted has the Worlds Quickest Evo IX(Mivec) 9.0@157 did you see his video? Why do you claim in your sig that your 9.2 is faster? Have I missed something of did you just forget to update your singature?Originally Posted by 9sec9

Im sure a built motor and 80mm red could make 500 on that dyno and still be safe! I mean im not all about numbers. But i have seen 445 on the stock motor on buschur's dyno on a red and the car was still safe with another year of haulnazz!Originally Posted by scheides
