Right now I have about 200 and some change. I'm going to fab off a block off plate for the front incase of more inclimate weather but for the most part I think she will be fine. Just gotta be responsible with her. Do you need the race car to get a gallon on milk or can the gf vibe work just as well?

i suppose a block off plate could help with rocks and random debris. my concern is more with sucking "unfiltered" air into the turbo/motor. i would imagine sucking dirt into your turbo would not be good, even if its not a dd. i would just hate to put that kind of time and money into a car just to suck dust/dirt into the turbo and destroy it. setup looks great though, i would love something like that, im just mad picky about filters. props man, keep us updated!

i hear where your coming from but i honestly think when you get something like this you plan where /how you drive a lil more carefully, dont follow so close and always keep in mind that you have about 2K worth of turbo exposed thru your front bumper and all you need is one F up to destroy it and you will be just fine.

Not to hate, but I really dont like the front mount turbo. Also the numbers seem kind of low. I am running a GT30R on a Peakboost FTW kit and making north of 500 AWHP on a stock block, and ONLY buddy club spec 2 264/272 cams with a snow performance methanol injection kit. My car is daily driven, and has the AEM EMS. The 35R should be making at least 500 whp on this setup even on just 93 octane. Another quick note, I also got to keep the A/C and full size radiator.

but what kind of dyno you on? As stated in another post before STM's dyno read unusually low. If James took this car to another shop with maybe a dynoamics or whatever the name is he would be up near 500. and meth does add a good 50hp about to your setup and also probably a higher psi than 24 that he is running.
also dyno number dont mean jack imo. its all how well you do in the 1/4

anywho James, you been to the track yet? Or you waiting till I come home?

Yah 500whp on a dynojet isn't that hard to accomplish.. it's measuring the engines horsepower and not the actual wheel horsepower.

If you have a front facing turbo kit on your car you will just have to realize that your car is not really a daily driver anymore; however, I feel if you're to the point where youre doing a 35R kit or bigger regardless of how it's mounted you probably have a second car at that point to get you around during the Evos downtime. Once I'm out of college and have a better paying job I would like to take my car in a more serious direction towards drag racing so to me this kit would be perfect and if something were to happen I would be in a better position to fix it financially.

Myevo8you as to your post you are right, it is a low number. Emery says his dyno reads between 15-20% low so on 93 pump if I'm at 427 I'm well over 500whp anywhere else. Also as chris stated you are using meth which gives you the ability to run more boost safely then I can on 93 cause your charge temps are gonna be much lower then mine. My car is still mostly daily driven but with how my turbo is facing sometimes I ride in the gfs car. I'm not griping about it I made my choice. As for ac, I haven't used ac since I had the car so physically removing it was not a big concern for me. As with most things in life thou, "Its not the size of your raidiator that counts, it's how it cools your car"

chris, I haven't taken her to the track yet. Emery is tweaking the cold starts on the tune making it run better theN it does. I'm sure my neighbors will be forever grateful. Lol

As stated above STM's dyno does read very low numbers. For example my Evo 8 stock only put down 215 whp as I have seen other stock evo's put down 270 whp on other dynos.

To clarafy for people the GG or AS car is not the car in this thread. His is the white one in the video. The other car is a guy showing his Front Mount turbo kit from STM
