Stock hp at the wheel for an Evo 8?

does any body know how many hp does a stock evo 8 has at the wheel?

It will vary. My 03 put down 259whp bone stock dynojet.

8's are 240's roughly, 9's ive seen high 250's

Honestly there's no way 8's put down 240. I think an accurate number would be about 220'ish.

240 to the wheels = less than 15% drive train loss OR more power to compensate which I don't see possible.

Around 230 on a dynojet. Note that every car with + or - that because every car is different.

One of the magazines just did a dyno with a stock 8 and it was about 250whp with 100,000 miles.

I think these threads are silly... I mean seriously, different dyno's, different calibrations, different correction factors/methods = different numbers.... It's pretty simple actually, dyno's are used as tools.
