Green/Kelfords Mustang Dyno

Whats going on guys?

My car has the following mods:

FP Green
Custom Manifold with external wastegate
Invidia O2 housing
Kelford 272/272
ETS 3.5 Inch FMIC
ETS UICP
ETS LICP
Megan Downpipe
Tanabe Hyper Medallion Exhaust
PPI ported intake manifold
PPI ported throttle body
Precision 880's
Walboro 255

The car made 366whp/310tq at 23.5 psi on 93 pump gas on a mustang dyno.

the following graph was of the 26psi pull

Note that the graph is rough due to the smoothing on the Mustang dyno set at 1.

what do you guys think about those numbers?

let me know...

Eugene

Pretty Nice Numbers, I have heard of them making closer to 400 but I would be happy with those numbers. I think you can turn up the boost to 26 or so PSI and Squeeze out a few more Ponies. I think people were running 24 on 91oct.

well first you said safe tune. How safe is safe?
For reference I made 345whp on a Mustang Dyno on the similar setup without cams on same boost level.
so the numbers seem fine.

is there a reason why you are not running more boost? do you have an intake?

id like to see a plot, but I can tell you on mine, i can spike it to 28-30, but it will always bleed to 23PSI or so too. i can hold 25 for a little then dips to 23 by redline.
So thats prob why.

This is my boy's car so I can chime in. The car has a normal 3" intake yes. And there is no reason to run more boost. The car is a daily driver on 93 octane and no point to run 29-30psi on a stock frame turbo, it'll create a lot of heat.

The car, in my opinion, isn't on a safe tune as it was hitting high 11's-12.0 air fuel ratios on that boost level, so it is pretty aggressive. 11.0-11.5 is safer to run on pump gas.

The dyno plot looks good though. Torque was about 305 at 4500-5000 rpm and was making 366whp at 7200rpm so pulling the whole time. I think the tune can be redone to get more power out of it with safer afr's, just my opinion.

thanks for the info. sekula i agree it sounds like it could be redone to get more power. seems like it could easily run a couple of more psi on 93

of course, he can turn the boost up to 30, dump more fuel in there (which he should anyway), and retard the timing a little bit and wham, probably will gain a lot of torque with some power, but again, the car is his dd, no need to abuse it more than he is already

and just for reference, i made 375whp/310wtq on the same dyno with only 22psi. I had the similar mods but hks 272's instead of kelford 272's and unported stock im and stock tb, so this also puzzles me.

that kinda power and that lean?
what did timing look like?
timing is usually where the power is at.

id like to see graphs and maybe maps.

kind of why I asked that some maps be posted.
He might be really conservative on timing. Which is not always a bad thing, but honestly I have seen tuners go wayyyyyyyy too conservative on timing/fuel and dont make numbers. IMO defeats the purpose of a tune.

Also Im assuming they were logging for knock on those supposed 12.0 afr runs? We would see it on the chart if it was pulling timing, but again, we cant assume anything these days.

i still dont think the number are horrible though by any means.

Yes timing is a bit on the conservaive side...I still think it made decent power for pump gas at relatively low boost...thanks for all the input fellas!
