yea stock cats and turbo cars never mixed well. You will see a significant gain IMO by putting in a tp

Also check for boost leaks and such. Might not see a problem, but they might be there. After I dynoed on that dyno, my numbers seemed decent, but I found out later I had the hugest boost leak and that prob skewed them.

Interesting. I'm not quite sure where to look for the boost leak but I guess I'll have to check. Where was yours??

try stock BOV and general IC pipes for boost leaks.

well i have been thinking about what i want to do to max out this turbo so to speak, on a somewhat limited budget. I already have the test pipe, i just need to go get the cat bolts burned off or cut so i can throw that bad boy in there. I have also been thinking that my ets intake may be holding back some horsepower as well. Any suggestions as to what i should get, be it maybe an amsiol filter with maf adapter and maybe a samco intake? Any other suggestions please post up if you want to see some results on something. Im only going back to the dyno 1 more time so please post up what you want to see done!!!

id say either amsoil or perrin filter with maf adapter and a o2 housing from buschur or ttp etc..
definatley need to make sure youve got no boost leaks and your bov is holding that boost.

other things you could do would be cams, ported inlet and exhaust mani, 65mm tb. Im not sure if this would be inside your budget tho, cams for sure would make you some power.

im thinking about going with the amsoil filter and adapter but i don't know which intake pipe to get, im not really a fan of the one i have on there now but who knows, maybe ill keep it for now. I already have an o2 housing and the stock bov seemed to be holding 27 psi just fine. Maybe ill get a COP or something like that. Anybody else have any suggestions???

my stock BOV was holding boost well i "thought"!

everyone on here told me i had a boost leak (i thought IC piping) cause i was still able to spike boost to 28 psi.

pressured up my BOV and it was leaking bad @ 10 psi

if you got the cash swap it out and save ur self the worries

MAP,
why don't you send Fast Freddie your SST turbo and we'll do a back to back comparison on the same dyno on the same day. I'll overlay boost plots, timing advance, and AFR's. It will be a TRUE comparison. Let me know! It's the same dyno jet that everyone uses in the NW. Drift Office.

i have an aps twin vent and it has worked great, no flutter or anything and holds boost great. best of both worlds recirc and atmosphere vent at the same time.

I, too, have the APS twin vent as I USED to have the Forge RS BOV.
