MAP SST Turbo installed and dynoed!
Im not sure how close VDR is to a dynojet but 430 with a conservative tune on pump may be pretty close to 500 on e85. Especially with more aggressive cams. Looks like the car still has a stock o2 housing. If so that will free up some more power too. I spoke with the guys at MAP a few days ago about this turbo and they said that its 500whp capable. Hopefully tcompusa retunes this guy soon so we can see what this turbo has to offer maxed out.
Who did you talk to there?
Like i said it just doesnt have the airflow , Its one of the better pump turbos out there. But with e85 i bet he see's 455-470.
Too bad people didnt see the incredible price advantage and bang for the buck of this setup.
Very sorry to bring this up but do you know were did this guy rebuilt the turbo? Did he go through MAP?

Send it in for an upgrade.... As explained in the thread below we did not assemble the SST's in house unless it was an SST upgrade. We had the SST built remotely for us to get a feel for the demand for a stock frame turbo with the MAP brand.
