I agree! I think this would be a good turbo to try out fred. I talked to Casey at MAP today and he said they did 490 on E85 and the didn't have all the bolt ons that you or I have. He didn't know everything it had, but ya... If you could chime in Casey and explain that would be great.

490whp on E85 with a 44-lbs/min turbo is simply awesome. I can't wait to get home from the Iraqi desert and get my own little project started.

Any suggestions?

Bought this turbo and presently doing 340whp at 20-21 psi on the VDR with my mods. A/F are 10.5-10.7 at the end of third and 4th (780cc PTE)
Full boost at 3500 in third
3300 in 4th
2600 in 5th
I'm looking at making more than 375whp but don't want to turn the boost too much with stock studs.
Had the IX turbo and kicked A LOT more in the low rpm but wasn't close in the top. I know a lot of people are doing better even on stock IX but I have an 8, 108K and a lot of abuse during the years...

I have a good intake on order (intake tube + filter)
Maybe a FMIC
Should I change cams?

thanks guy's

A few lbs of boost and cams will make a great difference. I'd say 30-40whp conservatively.

Do the FMIC and if you are running 93oct, get a good tune at 26psi. I have been running 26 psi for over a year, stock motor and studs. Car spends literally HOURS at full boost (road courses) with no issues.

Thanks for your help, I will definitely ad a few supporting mods and boost with a good FMIC.
The turbo seems to like boost for sure and wants too stretch his legs...
