It happens from time to time depending how the car ramps up on the rollers, that is nothing tune related. The way the car spools up will sometimes give that little spike for some odd reason.

The hand held controller for this dyno is slightly different than your average. You have to go through a process in order to ramp a car up and then you have to end the car's pull as well.

It is a 4 button process and you have to really be on time to get the perfect pull.

Here is a short break down:

1.Load Off
2.Stabilize
3.Ramp up
4.Ramp End

Now you have to cruise in the Load Off section first. Get to the rpm you want to start. Next you have to click up into stabilize which will lock the car in place on the rollers. You then hit ramp up and this is where it gets tricky, the stabilize function will load the car up slightly so to speak by forcing it "not" to ramp up too fast at first. Lastly you hit ramp end to stop the car from graphing.

It is virtually impossible to time everything 100% since every car spools and ramps up differently at different rpms.

Sorry if that was confusing but anyone with this software and version of dyno knows how much of a PITA it is compared to a dynojet or mustang dyno.

To conclude everything the low rpm spike or the little spike you will see at peak torque from time to time is just a slight timing error on the dyno operator's behalf when the pull process begins....

This was an evo 9 and according to your signature our correction for a 1.0 seems right in-line with the correction your shop uses.

Your car and the car we just finished seems like a pretty good comparison and they are similar builds as well.

Sorry missed the "Evo 9" in the title I have been up since 4 am. I really wasn't trying to compare my numbers with yours I was just curious cause I looked at the dyno graph and notice spoolin quicker then mine and as we know that is MIVEC. But I plan having Jimmy and Junior doing some meth and 3 port boost solenoid with a Tephra mod over the winter should make for a short life on my ACT clutch...

DG once again great job.

Very nice, should be interesting @ 32+psi on pump gas. Oh and say goodbye ACT!

I remember with my evo 9 I had a brand new ACT in the car on the dyno with a buschur 3582r kit with aquamist and c-16. car made 550whp and 500wtq..first pass on the street and the clutch blew up literally...

Thanks for the props!

No doubt you guys do great work so it's not props it's the truth.

Oh what are you using for boost control on the customers car? I know with the evo9 you can get ride of some lag but I wonder how sooner could the turbo begin spooling with a 3 port solenoid at 100% WGDC at low RPM?

I always like your honesty with your results. At this power level on your dyno what will a full weight evo trap?

Nice power, did you have to remove the motor to do the rod bolts?

Full Weight Evo 9 with a "good" driver:

320whp- 11.7/8 @ 116mph 1.6 60ft

360whp has also went mid 11's around 118/119 mph.

It is real hard to say when determining who is driving the car!
