Yes and no. I dont have the .cal in front of me but HKS272s and the MIVEC version dont seem to make as much as some other combos. I also dont think Luke played with it since the AEM table is all PWM and you have to have the excel to convert to "normal" crank numbers. The other thing to remember is that this car is primarily on 91 octane so the timing was left low for that reason. The numbers are on par for 28psi with a stock intake manifold though. Mine made 504whp at 28psi with conservative timing. Before I switched to the Magnus the best I saw on 92 octane and as much timing as it would take was 518whp at 28 (best was 531 @ 29.5).

Change a few mods and sure there is more to be had.

Aaron

greatgonzer,

nice to see another nicely set up evo in new mexico, maybe in the spring we can all get together and meet. as for your problem, i definitely recommend getting the trigger disc with the aem, everything is better, plus david buschur said in his post that from what he recalls, he never had the cam sensor go out when he had the 12 tooth trigger disc in his car. btw, i bought mine from buschur racing.

Only future plan now is to get the JDM rear. The car is running great and the performance is perfect for daily driving and running hard through the Mt Hood twisties. Love it. Here is the most recent picture that I have of it:

This was all very good information to learn.
