Right now I am trapping 101mph 1/8 mile on straight pump gas. Thats 4mph gain at the 8th mile only and thats just half down the track.

I don't think I am making more power than Bihn(who knows). My guestimate power is 520ishWHP) and based on my 1/8 mile time I know I will trap 135mph+ this time so if I can do it he can do it.

btw my car is close to full weight just removed the front crash beam/spare tires and tools
Well I am trapping 101 on the 1/8 too and that's not in a clean pass. And I have also trapped 131 with only 96mph on the 1/8 because of the problematic 3rd gear and that's without powershifting. Boost at around 28psi with a 3380 lbs weight with Gulf 93 octane.

If you use the trap calculator which is spot on with dynojets, you will see that you need more than 600+++ to trap 135mph on a 3350-3400 lbs car. It's math...

Power = weight (with driver)* (trap / 234)^3

i think you are a little confused... but if you wanted a singlescroll hta we sell them too the twinscroll will spool wayyy faster than the singlescroll, hta or not - this is not up for debate. As for a zillion dollars less? Compare the price of a twinscroll borgwarner kit w/ dual MVS to a singlescroll hta with single 44 and youre gonna see hte prices are pretty damn similar.

If you take a singlescroll 30R to the road course and compare against one of our twinscroll 35s, the 30R will be decimated, not even a close match... this is pretty well documented on this website

You're only allowed to come if you bring the Civic out to play! Maybe I'll take the slicks off the G and see how long it takes to the police to pull me over

Its DynoJet in Big Valley. You said you are expecting 130mph on your 543WHP when I trap 130mph @ 479whp. That is why I assumed you will trap 135mph (unless Big Valley's dyno reads low)

If I picked up 4mph on the 8th don't you think I will pick up 7-8mph more at the end of the 1/4 mile track? I guess Im wrong then.
Carry on guys!

cannot know that mate! Actualy thats a good idea. Will do some research to see what the impact is from an increase of mph in the 1/8 to the total 1/4 trap speed...

I would love to see your car at a 1/4 track! YOu are cutting SICK 60fts!

With get there someday! LOL

No track for me. The build set me back quite a bit and I'm not ready to dump any more money into the car for a couple months if you know what I mean.

So for now its just a fun street car.

08 sti will remain stock. I have no interest in modding it really.

sounds like a good idea to me since this guy has more power then the other two guys in this thread and is only trapping 135 and he is at full weight

op are you running aem version 2 box in your car ?

I'm wondering if elevation has anything to do with this. My guess is probably.

Original AEM box.

t4 gt3582r w 1.06 ar= $1100 new
full race t4 manifold 2nd hand and basically new from cbrd= $800
two 44mm wastegates= $700

not much more than a standard t3 setup besides having to buy an extra wastegate....

My Iveytune built evo made 600+ on 93/meth and has trapped 136 countless times as it sits with me driving(250+lbs). .My car with me is 3400+ and has ran great. On race gas the car made 750whp which I can only imagine how crazy it would be.
