Knock is always an issue with pump gas. You never know if you are getting true E85 or some other percentage. It would be one thing if I was running VP fuel where you know what your getting everytime, but with E85, you simply do not.

We are using a GM solenoid. The injectors were tapped. Another reason why we left the boost alone.

Soon be installing a BR2.3L and SD conversion. I will keep everyone posted. This car is a true street car and very capable of more power.

Just to get an idea of how conservative tune this is, would you mind sharing any rough timing numbers for this 450whp tune? Also mind sharing a plot that was over 500 and details? Also curious about the torque, see how during onset it come up, then rises again 500rpm later? This is not typical in my eyes. Is it a trait of this turbo coming up to full shaft speed or timing just being extra low around 3500-4000?

To everyone that thinks and is acting as if I took 10 degrees out of the ignition map are worthless your thoughts aren't needed. Thank you. I simply took three degrees out and left the tune spot on KNOCK FREE. Still ran 29 psi held 27 psi by redline.

For reference. The igniton map looks like this. 3* at peak torque and 11* at redline.

AFR was a solid flat 11.8 throughout the entire powerband. Any more questions?

Regards,

James Reese

Good points here, if I remember correctly, the E75 would have a different burn rate than the E85 and having a little less timing would help if the fuel ends up being not quite what you were tuned on. I know when I was on the dyno I had measured E85, but when I went to the track we had to pull a couple degrees for the "E85" from the pump in Norwalk

James, what does a typical 450whp evo on your dyno translate to trap speed wise? Thanks in advance.
