ok. so i finally got to run my bros. C6 Z06. here is how the race went.

2nd gear around 5k rpm approx 50mph.....i did not brake boost

2nd gear he got the jump about 1-1/2 cars due to boost lag.
3rd gear he did not pull me
4th gear he did not pull me

In conclusion he got me by 1-1/2 cars. If i brake boosted i'm pretty sure he would have gotten me by less than that. My car felt really strong especially in 3rd gear. Those cars are really hard to beat because of their hwy gearing and aero dynamics.

p.s. Towards the end of all the runs we did, I was going to brake boost and when i did one of my innercooler couplers came off. I put it back on now so next time i run him i will brake boost and update this thread.

thanks for everybody tuning in.

Nice numbers now there were too many pages inbetween the first and the last that I didn't read, I know lazy lol, so I don't know if this was asked, was the first baseline with the hks cams and arc air filter ran at 30 psi also? That was a huge jump. If it was ran at 30 psi both times are the hks cam really that must of a restriction or could it be because of the first intake most likely? Reason why I ask is because I am putting on a gt37r kit here soon and have hks 272 cams, but i figured they were at least better than stock. So by according to the dyno if I change out to the kelford's I could expect a similiar jump in power? Thanks

-Joe

it will make a big difference when you brake boost bec it will make you jump ahead on the start and gives you an advantage. plus you have to shift fast between gears.
good luck for next time.

Look forward to hearing the dyno numbers, and hopefully some track times soon too.

This kit is also now available in our store for anyone interested.

The brake boost run VS C6 Z06......

2nd gear approx. 5k rpms 20psi brake boosting

2nd gear.....i pulled him by 1 car
3rd gear.....stayed the same
4th gear.....stayed the same

Conclusion for the win by 1 car!!! max boost was 30 psi on 93 oct.

After the race he told me that he was NOT stock and that he had a cold air and tune on the car. He made 463whp on a dynojet.....no wonder i had a hard time beating him.

I guess i am satisfied with my car now. I built this car to ultimately beat my bros Z06 and I have achieved that goal. Look out for me on the streets of Houston.

P.S. Looking forward for Mellon coming to Houston. I would definatley take advantage of his tuning while he is down here! Sign up if you haven't because you wont get a better tune anywhere else!
