Top Level, Speed Density, FpRed and 93 oct.

Some of you may remember the results from this thread on a stock turbo/Speed density equipped Evo 8 with evo 8 turbo....

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...k-8-turbo.html

This was done with:
Stock 8 turbo unported/stock actuator
Buschur ported exhaust manifold
Stock motor
Hks exhaust
Hks intake
Buschur ic pipes
perrin 3" ic
Cosworth m2's with arp's
Precision 1000cc injectors
E-Spec tuned ecu + Speed density ( Thanks for tephra's v7 and the sensors from AWD!!)
93 octane
28psi-falling to 21psi

This gentleman decided it was time to cross the 400hp mark on pump gas. A quick shout to Fp for the RED, Boomba for a great TB, and an o2 dump for good measure would assist in getting us well over the mark on pump gas....

I'm very pleased with this car's progress so far. The speed density allows this car to run silky smooth with bulletproof stable idle, regardless of the cams/bov combo. Looking forward to the next round of mods-- but first a trip to the track to see where we're at!!

Numbers look great. Congrats. The car should be easier daily driving now with the SD. Wish we had 60d temps here in Miami for dyno purposes. Even during the coldest winter it's in the high 70's.

Good numbers. Do you know how much it made at 3 smoothing?

Smoothing doesn't do anything for power change just cleans up the graph line and make it look more smoother it harder to tune on 0 smoothing not to many tuners can do that!!

ok interesting, um I thought it was like the VDR, every time you add some smoothing it gets rid of those peaks and loses a little power. Awesome numbers, that car is strong

Again ...great power. FP Red is the best mod to date for me as well.

i dunno where the hell you've been, but it got down to the 30's this year. and it was in the high 30's low 40's on many occasions.

It touched those temps on and off for a couple weeks however...it wasn't consistent at all. If you've been in South Florida any length of time at all you would know that it never ever gets that cold....this winter was the exception. We would have a 38d day and then the following morning it would be 70.

Ironically enough the week i went to dyno was the so called "coldest week". It was high 40's all week and then when i went on that friday temps were mid 70's.

For the MOST part....90% of the time even this winter at it's coldest...isn't cold here. I've been in south florida all my life...27 years.
