It looks like it outperformed the FP Black from Mellon with 2psi less boost. It is strange to me the FP turbos require so much damn boost to make power. I assume it is due to restrictions of the stock turbine housing????

you cant really compare different dynos, this was done on dyno jet they normally are the highest , i think mellon uses a mustang apples to oranges

I like the flat torque for the majority of the powa band. Looks like hta green is what i'll be getting once the drivetrain is taken care of.

Yea seems like Aaron has this combo down....SD + S2's + Magnus V5, always seems to make great power no matter the turbo.

Aaron so do you recommend this turbo or bbk? it seems the other thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...370ft-lbs.html

made more torque at lower psi, better spool, slightly less peak power.

there are some pretty significant differences in these setups. too many to make good comparo

green HTA = 92 octane tune, magnus intake mani, meagan ex mani.
all three above loose low torque.

bbk= 94 octane. stock intake, stock ported ex mani

94AWD is correct on that, I think the 2 really dont compare as far as torque goes. As far as power goes this has a little more in it still.

I made 455 with a Black at the same boost with the only difference being it had Cosworth M2s. To be fair I didnt spend much time on that tune on straight pump gas since the whole idea was to get it on pump meth. I have made 511/433 on straight pump with the Black and a 2.4 (the only other difference from this particular build) but it will use the airflow and make more power on pump. It was a momentary spike to 27 and really had settled at 25 for most of the pull.

All turbos require boost to make power. The BBK that made 451 was running more boost to do it. We ran Brett's out to 30psi and no knock but since he wanted it safe as it will be on the otherside of the country from now on we turned it back down. Power was similar but torque was 375. Since it wasnt the plan to leave it there I didnt push the timing at higher boost (it was low) but it would have made more power had we spent time with it.

That and there was something about blasting across Montana too
