Just read an article where the NASCAR guys are using Moldstar 90 instead of the BeCu valve seats.

Titanium cams does sound pretty f'ing cool though, lol

Maybe FP can make me a billet ti wheel

From what I gather, the meth is never even sprayed evenly in all cylinders, so the best methsetup would be direct injection, but that is a "ballin" setup and even then, still potential of kablooey.
Bro, I said I have it but not running it. The fuse is pulled. I wouldn't take a chance with my new motor. I too have heard the stories and seen the aftermath!!!

Copper and Ni ftw! I was just joking regarding Beryllium. That is not safe for the planet But, this moldstar is far more readily available, less cost and strong as hell.

Tensile strength is double that of stainless steel. ss got owned up. I can understand why they'd need such parts in nascar. THermal conductivity is great also. I can see these kind of parts as beneficial to someone doing a lot of road racing or someone who is doing standing mile for consistent performance. Either way you'd need to be sponsored because its too baller 4 us non metal alloy folks

Also restricted motors run higher EGT usually.

just to go off topic but the horror stories about meth are those the systems without fail safes? How about if someone is running something like the Aqua Mist HFS-6 that has all the bells and whistles. Would it be risky then to spray meth?

You always have a chance of something going wrong, even with failsafes in place... but that is the risk each person takes when modifying a vehicle...

Should be a week or two now. Theyre going to dyno it then on the full tune just because I cant be coming back out to Ohio again for a retune lol. My break in period will be the 7hr drive back from ohio. Im gonna keep it at a normal speed and let everything get happy.

Im running 93+meth, Im tired of hearing everyones "dont run meth" bs.

To me its like when people told me motorcycles are dangerous when I had my bike, Id tell em well guess what people have killed themselves fallin down the stairs Everyones always got somethin to say.

If the tune is right and the system is properly maintained and setup, you can minimize any problems.

E85 + Meth you mean? I have meth but not running... E85 is the **** but when I transfer out of the area I'll have to go back to meth unless I upgrade my turbo to where I can make 600 on pump. Then I'll be happy without meth.

^agreed with Sven, but I will likely tone it down when I get my car back - it gets tiring driving the truck so I want to minimize fail points as much as I can.

I know someone that drives the fugg outta his car, possibly poorly, and he went 30k on his triple. If you are more civilized you'd likely get more. But it does bring up the point of whether you'd need it. I have a triple only because a twin deal fell through and I needed something, and the triple was available for cheap at the time. Otherwise I would have gone twin/twin HD.

And you complain about Mikey's sig, FFS? Z1 is a package!

Not to mention Eric's experience on the strip...and your experience @ Cheetah's and the Rhino doesn't count.

Damn I really wish I could go. Portland and ER, getting fugged up and hitting the clubs. I could prob swing a day, maybe even a night, but not multiples.

i'm sure others will chime in on this.

-off topic
while you're at it, get titanium cams, beryllium seats/valves and run nitromethane like topfuel. Ballin and risk factor like doing speed, crack, and crystal meth for breakfast lunch dinner and taking a final exam for a test suspended in mid air on a tightrope under the influence without studying and a hot girl giving you a lapdance all at once

can it be done? yeah? is it adviseable? nahhh
You clearly have never seen Mikey in Vegas!

I guess I missed this thread. My garage is so rohn-ree, so I'm still up at 5A (6A now, crap) reading on EvoM.

^you know I would if I could. I probably shouldn't regardless since all my $$$ needs to go down there. Plus, I don't want to kill my truck, then I'd be fugged!

True... I still need to chat with Eric and see when I'm going up there to get the housing. I may have to go up there tomorrow so we will have to figure out when I'll get the Block... I'll let you know as soon as I chat with Eric.

^werd. I talked to Jordon tonight, and let him know we'll be stopping by at some point. Keep me posted. I told him you have to work so it would likely be between 5P and 7P but possibly later. Later might be better cause he works late sometimes.

Whut up, Rock! I know Eric is pretty much done for the summer, and likely through the fall/winter so he can get his car figured out. That guy is extremely nice and takes on a lot of projects. It is about time he can clear stuff out and work on his own stuff for a change.
