By the way please refresh my aging memory but do you guys have any cars w/ a similar set-up that has made some passes down the track already?

I would assume that John is the closest setup to mine at 625hp on 37psi however I'm not sure that he has ran at the track yet or not... I have not and won't for a while. I may at the end of July and then get kicked out!

You are not to speak of the dark side in these threads...

While I'm very tempted to thrash my EVO at the track, I have a >700awhp '92 Eagle Talon that serves as my track slvt. The EVO is my daily driver and only used to occasionally spank the odd Cobra/Corvette/Subie/M3 and anything else that feels like it wants some.

John-
What clutch are you on again? I was wondering if I should step up to the Exedy Twin HD for my 2.4 build (not drag racing, so hopefully don't need the triple).

I had a twin HD but sent it back for the triple just to be sure, the twin will probably be fine in a car that wont see drag strip time.

ACT Xtreme PP & street disc.

My Tq numbers are close to what the advertised limit is on this clutch combo. So far it is holding fine, I'm sure if I started launching on it though, it wouldn't last long!

When my block let go last winter, I already had this clutch sitting in the garage, so I just used it and spent the funds in other areas. Not sure I would have chosen this clutch if I had forseen the 2.4 in my future.

The only annoying feature is if I let the car 'bounce' on the rev limiter, it doesn't want to shift. As long as I shift at 7900 or sooner though, it works just fine.

ZR1... All in good time. If I ever get to 800hp, then I might try! I don't see 800hp anytime soon. Unless I go 3586 in the winter...

Erik, you will need a Triple. I had the Twin HD and it is really easy to get to that 550tq mark. I'm not even at 600hp yet and I'm already beating down the door to 550tq. The 2.4s usuallly only make 60 mor hp than tq. I assume your setup will be 625-650 range fairly easy so you will be 575+ tq.
