The extra 100 hp was on 100 octane, something most of the people considering this turbo won't be running. I agree that the gains on pump gas won't be that big. If E85 is available and you want to spend more cash building your block than this would be a monster. For the rest of us it still looks like you'll have to trade spool for larger power gains.

HKS, variable vane or twin turbo kits next please.

went from typical 375 to around typical 420 wheel from one turbo to the next on 93, but with no loss in spool!! Sure you can make more put on a gt42! but will it spool EXACTLY the same as stock?

Next.

Sean, I don't mean to say anything negative just to make sure I have the right information.
Back to back it gained 36whp over the stock evo 8 turbo... I was just wondering if at higher boost level,
Even on 93oct it will have more power gains...

Someone who drives the evo like it's meant to be driven, not on a 1/4 mile "steering locked" competition

my steering isn't locked i competed in numerous hill climbs and have great suspension work also. but occasionally be able to beat a fast domestic car with top end is an added bonus

On 93 there is a pass we made 430+ on if you want to get technical! We don't use the best we use average passes.

This would be such an awesome turbo for a daily driven Evo.

500lb-ft of torque.....nice.

Ok report from the 1/4 mile. 11.2@125 first pass with a 1.71 60ft then got kicked out.

Im wondering if this turbo will benefit from any porting on the hotside, Ivey did you notice any benefits porting could have just by looking at it, or is the casting pretty good already?

Did he make the drag run on 93 or 100 octane? This turbo sounds like a bunch of fun. I'm imagining explosive corner exits!
