2.4 and 2.3 spool the same. theres no way its going to take until 6k to make 30psi on a 6262. maybe 4800-5000rpm depends on your exhaust manifold and cams and intake manifold tho. but if i can get 30 by 3800 on a fp black i think the 6262 can get it by 4500 atleast.

Are you fimilar with A 6262??it'a not like a stock frame turbo it's very hard to hit 30 psi by 4500 rpms on a 6262 even with a 2.3 or 2.4 I see it doing it by 5000rpms the tune has been mentioned also its a has a soft tune in it for long term life.

Stroker and 6262=One nasty combo. Imagine if this thing had some custom gsc cams in it..

i have HKS 280 cams , Agency Power exhaust manifold , stock antake manifold , stock TB. 6262/.82 BB ,2.3 hks ,borted head .
i think the 6262/.82 is too big for my setup i was crazy when i got it , the 6262/.63 is what i need or the HTA3586 ..
let me get my car tune then we will see .

And for the sake of the "Big block" comparison,,, 30psi BEFORE 5000 rpm!!

Third gear pulls only!!

500hp/500tq @5200rpm on pumpgas is THE NEW trend in NY!!

It is has been 2 months now since the tune, so I guess it is time to chime in with my impressions. First off is that the 2.4 is a killer street engine and the 6262 has got to be the best bang for the buck turbo ever. BTW it is a journal bearing. I did however make one big mistake. I stuck with the stock intake manifold and throttle body. It definitely held me back quite a bit upstairs. I am not unhappy with the peak numbers, but dropping 100 HP by redline is just completely unnecessary. I will be back on the dyno in a few weeks with a ported stock manifold in an attempt to fix that. As far as the spoolup is concerned, I think that we can bench race this topic all day, but the reality on the street is something different. By "softening the blow" as E spec described it, the car has good traction. Sure we could have ramped up the timing down low and made more HP and torque at the lower rpm range, but what good is that when it simply translates to wheel spin? I am not a drag racer nor am I running drag radials. I do a lot of road course events and the last thing that you want is all 4 tires breaking loose coming out of a turn. As usual, Erkel gave me exactly what I wanted. A tune tailored to my type of driving. I have worked with most of the big name tuners in the Northeast over the last 6 years and no one has ever come close in terms of service, communication, and attention to detail. Also big thanks to Toplevel for putting together a killer engine.
