My VD Results Thus Far 525/399 on wastegate

Well finally got some miles on the new motor and decided to do a little break in tune until it gets on a real dyno. As of now the car is just on wastegate pressure (25psi) AFR's are 10.9-11.1 with 10 degrees timing at redline with 0 knock.

Also we weren't reving it out high at all. Redline was set to around 8k.

Also I realize these numbers could be taken with a grain of salt, I will follow-up soon with an actual dyno sheet.

Important Mods
Built 2.0
5 Angle Valve Job (no porting)
Eagle Crank
Eagle Rods
Cosworth Bearings
Wiseco HD Pistons
ARP studs and bolts all around
6765 Billet (.82ar) (Journal Bearing)
GSC S2 Cams with Fidanza Gears set to 0/0
Dual Valve Springs/Retainers
ETS 3.5" Core
JMF 3" piping

Stock Intake Manifold/Throttle Body

Stock ECU/Maf

i hope youre planning on reving past 9k? thats an extremely effective drag setup if you rev the **** out of it.

mys well do it yourself. if youre using 93octane its not hard.. just keep adding timing until it knocks then back it off.

No reason to disbelieve a 6765 making 500+whp on 25psi of boost. Why such a high base boost level? With external gates on t3 turbos you can run a relatively low spring pressure and still hold a lot of boost out the top. I have run over 30psi on a 5spi spring in TiAL 38mm wastegates.

Thanks for the info tscomp maybe ill see what a little more timing will do.

Batty - I went with a very tight spring because from what ive experienced it can help with spool up a little especially it being such a large turbo. Also not to mention it was already on the manifold I got haha

just keep adding more timing 1* at a time and use the same road and virtual dyno is just as accurate as a real dyno ....... im gonna say your car will take 12* + no problem.

I did the same thing on the spring yours is a bit stiffer then mine that doesn't sound good.Mine on straight wastegate is 22 psi and my * is a bit low around 12*.

I would go s.d with your setup it would benefit you alot.As for the * goes it's rather low but a nice base for what your doing right now.

I would leave it till your tuner bumps it up himself and enjoy the nice power you have..
