FP Black on 93 with water/meth
Any avid Evo tuner will be intimately familiar with the OEM ECU. Any tuner who doesn't like using the Evo OEM ECU, probably isn't intimately familiar with the Evo. You can do whatever you like with those 2 pieces of information.
The only stand alone that I would ever look into getting would be a Haltech or Pro EFI.

Well after a few set backs and being sent out of town for the past couple of months I finally got some new parts on the car. New parts are
1000cc injectors
New FMIC
Custom lower piping
Aem EMS series 2 with 5 bar sensor
Found out that the cams in the car are GSC S1 and that the walbro 255 pump is getting old. After retuning the car made 440@26 pounds of boost with 380 torque. I get back from out of town tomorrow and will post up the dyno sheet then. I am happy with the new power and looking forward to getting a new pump setup and bigger cams to really open thugs up. Also looks like thanks to the antilag i have 26 pounds at 4000 rpm. Should make things fun.

when your ready to make some serious power let me know. your down about 60-75whp EASILY. i would have recommended to stick with the stock ecu though, the AEM was a bit excessive, as we have proven time and time again to make serious numbers on that dyno with stock ecu. as acree said, he dynoed the same day, with the same turbo and made 180whp more then you (granted his has more mods and a built motor). i tuned another car that same day, evo 9 stock motor, he made 519whp on a fp red turbo with e85 @30psi.
oh, and i think much of your problems are setup problems and you just need a good set of eyes to sort it out. the tune will work itself out once all the mechanical issues are resolved.

Well the pump is on it's last leg so there is one problem and the other is the fact these so called aftermarket cams are smaller then stock. Both where on the car when I got it. As for the aem I got a really good deal. Also on a side not can the 2.4l you got make 26 pounds at 3800 rpm?

well a single walbro with meth injection should easily make 500whp on steves dyno. if you were running e85 on it, you would be maxed out around 440-450 because the FP wouldn't have enough flow rate. typically with a black on 93 only i'll tune it to more then 26psi, and with the meth you can easily run 30. if the fuel pumps the problem, change it, you can even sell the AEM, put a new pump in, make more power and have 1000 dollars in your pocket
.
and yes, the 2.4L motor has full boost (33psi) before 4000rpm

Well replacing the pump is easy enough. As for getting rid of the aem it's a matter of opinion what you tune with. I personally pefer the aem over the stock ecu. I have seen your cars make power and congrats on that. I have gone to the same mechanic/tuner for 5 years and have always gotten good results. He and I both know the car has more I it's just a matter of getting the right working parts on the car such as a not old tired pump and proper cams.
just to be fair... Every tuner has their preference of choice and setup. This is also true for the owner of the car. I think it is up to the owner to choose who he/she prefer to work on his/her vehicles. Both Kevin and Brian are capable tuner and engine builder so your car is in good hands on who you choose. I was operating the dyno on your car today. I think brian did pretty good for the combo you have on your car. He spent a few hrs optimizing the timing and mivec map for the boost level. I'm not sure how much more an OEM PCM can do with your setup. Fuel pressure was dropping at high rpm so it doesn't make sense to increase the injector time to compensate for the pressure drop. A different cam should wake the car up. You will also gain hp with E85 fuel.

Thanks for the input pluto. Since this car is my daily and most of my work is in fort worth I pefer 93 cause of the better milage and availability. I love the benefits of e85 but that's what the meth is for to give me some of it. This car was never about records or huge dyno numbers. I am planning on getting to around 500 and stopping there. With stock motor, head, manifolds, trans, and just about everything else I felt the car is well on it's way to being a fun reliable daily that when needed can open up.
It's a 50/50 blend and the kit was on the car when I bought it so I do not know the size of the nozzles. All I can say is if will max out the gauge on flow which the gauge goes to 450.
is it the HFS 1 or HFS 5 or one of the newer kits? its not the gauge being maxed out though, its just out of adjustment. you can take a small screw driver and turn the SC adjustment down a click or two (possibily more depending on how far out of calibration it is). also, if you look at your upper intercooler pipe, the nozzles have a super small colored stripe on them. there are red, black and white. you could even have more then one nozzle. the aquamist kits work great when they aren't leaking, but it requires a lot of attention to make sure all the failsafes are setup and working properly. if your maxing the guage out, its not setup properly and the high flow limit failsafe isn't functioning.
It is a dual nozzle setup and the system is the dds3 v8. I have been told it's a old system by it seems to be working. I am hoping to get back in town early enough to get the car today. If so I will check the colors.
