We installed beehive springs with the cam install. They use the stock retainers.

With this combination, yes. These springs are intended to be used with the stock retainers. If you are going to be in there doing a valve spring upgrade anyway, I recommend replacing your valve stem seals while you are in there

Not as much as upgrading the LICP's huge restriction. However, upgrading the UICP will reduce a great deal of bends and length which will help with spoolup and responsiveness. Also, the stock rubber braided hoses expand a LOT under pressure, this is wasting energy that could be better utilized by shoving that hard earned boost into the engine

So yes, it is beneficial to upgrade the UICP so if you can afford to get a full piping kit at once it will save you some money in the long run.

ok thanks. was contemplating removing my stock UICP but have the silicone hoses so they shouldn't expand that much under pressure. ok back to topic

This might be the first dyno pull that I've seen that showed higher torque results than horsepower.

Dynotech, which LICP would you recommend for this car and its mods? ETS, AMS, Buschur Racing, etc?

That would be the stock LICP starting to choke the airflow up top. I could probably get a bit more with a better boost solenoid since his seemed to drop off boost sooner than the GM 3-port and Grimmspeed solenoids. A FMIC upgrade would also allow for more power up top as well. Plenty of room for improvements as the owners budget allows.

All of the brands you mentioned are excellent choices. We sell all three brands but it comes down to preference since they will all give the same results. ETS is the most affordable and I feel that the Buschur LICP is the most durable.

There is a sound clip here if you would like to see.
