You need to understand one thing, lower boost on the Red will make higher power then that IX turbo, so even though the IX spools faster, you still have a very usable power band with the Red at lower boost. I find that I don’t have to adjust my driving habits at all, the car feels great when I mob around town, so I would suggest at least an FP RED or Green, get some power, AFAIK the only turbo to spool faster than OEM are the new HKS unit and the TME Turbo.
Kool, High PSI. Me too.

Go to your local hardware store ask for grade 8 or higher bolts , they are much easier to use over studs and will give you less headaches.

studs found!

Advance Auto Parts has these exact stud replacements in stock! That made my week! It would have been like $8 at the dealer. I got 3 studs in this pack with other pieces of hardware for $6. If anyone else is looking for these, they're made by Dorman, part #3400.

I wonder if it's the same crappy material mitsubishi used?

ARP also makes these bolts/studs.

I'm not sure. But I know Mitsu's suck and always strip, so it's probably better I got a different brand this time.

A little high temperature anti-sieze goes a long ways on those studs.

Mitsubishi exhaust fasteners have always been a one time use thing for me. I always use high temp anti-seize and properly torqued them and yet it never fails, I always have one gall up and strip out on me when removing them. If they are all new, they are usually good for one time on-off anything after that is sketchy.
